Biography
Rival Consoles is the stage name of British electronic musician and composer Ryan Lee West. Born in Leicester in 1985 and based in London, he has released all his albums and EPs on Erased Tapes Records since 2007, initially under the name Aparatec.
West is known for albums including Persona (2018), Articulation (2020), Overflow (2021) and Now Is (2022). He has scored contemporary dance works such as Alexander Whitley's Overflow and composed the soundtrack for the Netflix documentary The Figo Affair: The Transfer That Changed Football (2022).
His television scoring includes the Black Mirror episode 'Striking Vipers' (2019). He has also created remixes for artists including Jon Hopkins, Nils Frahm and Max Cooper.
