Biography
Robert C. Thompson is a television director, producer and writer. His credits include directing episodes of Hill Street Blues (1981), The Greatest American Hero (1981–1982), Fame (1983–1986), Dynasty (1981), Magnum, P.I. (1982) and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1982). He also directed episodes of Dallas (1983), The Renegades (1983) and later series such as Silk Stalkings (1995), as well as television films including Words by Heart (1985) and Gone to Maui (1999).
Thompson served as producer and executive producer on The Paper Chase (1978–1979) and received a Primetime Emmy nomination for his work on the series. He is credited with the story for the feature film The Cowboy Way (1994).
