Biography
Robert Cavanah is a Scottish actor, writer, director and producer. Born in Edinburgh in December 1965, he trained at Drama Centre London after a brief period at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
He is known for his role as Temple in the series Cracker (1995), Heathcliff in the 1998 ITV adaptation of Wuthering Heights, Adam Carnegie in The Royal, and appearances in EastEnders, Outlander (2016) as Jared Fraser, The Crown (2016) as a psychiatrist, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life (2003) and Sahara (2005). He has also worked extensively in theatre, including at the Royal National Theatre, and has written, directed and produced films such as Pimp (2010).
