Biography
Robert Cochran, also credited as Bob Cochran, is an American television writer and producer. He co-created the series 24 (2001) with Joel Surnow, serving as writer, story and teleplay contributor, and executive producer across its run.
Earlier, Cochran and Surnow created and produced the spy series La Femme Nikita (1997). His other writing credits include episodes of JAG (1995), L.A. Law (1986), Falcon Crest (1981) and The Commish. He graduated from Stanford Law School in 1974 and began his television career after working as a lawyer and management consultant.
Cochran received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series for the 24 pilot episode in 2002, and shared in further Emmy and other awards for the series.
