Biography
Robert Cooper is a British television producer. Born in 1950 in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, he worked as a radio producer in Manchester before becoming the BBC's television drama producer in Northern Ireland, later serving as Head of Drama there.
He produced the feature film Truly, Madly, Deeply (1990), written and directed by Anthony Minghella, with whom he had previously collaborated on radio drama. In 2003 he co-founded Great Meadow Productions with Kate Triggs. Their credits include the television film Margaret and the adaptation Room at the Top (2012), which won the BAFTA Award for Best Mini-Series.
