Biography
Robert Dix, born Robert Warren Brimmer, was an American film actor. The son of actor Richard Dix, he appeared in around 35 films between 1954 and 1974, often credited as Bob Dix or Bob Brimmer early in his career. He trained briefly with the National Academy of Theater Arts in New York and held a two-year contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
His credits include the role of Crewman Grey in Forbidden Planet (1956), Chico Bonell in Forty Guns (1957), Frank James in Young Jesse James (1960) and an uncredited part in Live and Let Die (1973). He also appeared in several low-budget horror films in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and worked as a writer and assistant director on some projects.
Dix died on 6 August 2018 in Tucson, Arizona, aged 83.
