Biography
Robert Folk is an American film and television composer and conductor. Born in New York City, he is a graduate and former faculty member of the Juilliard School, where he completed a doctorate.
Folk has composed scores for over 90 feature films. His credits include the Police Academy series (1984–1994), Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995), The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter (1990) and Just Play Dead (2026). He has also written and conducted concert works, including the ballet To Dream of Roses, recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ASCAP.
