Biography
Robert Foster (1938–2011) was a television and film writer and producer. Born in Los Angeles, California, he began his career in the Universal Studios mailroom, where his father worked as an accountant.
Foster wrote episodes of series including Kojak (1974) and Knight Rider (1983–1985), on which he also worked as a producer. His screenplays include the feature Dead Bang (1989) and the film The Contractor (2007). He received writing credits under the names Bob Foster and Willard Walpole.
