Biography
Robert Harmon is an American film and television director. Born in 1953 in White Plains, New York, he attended film school at Boston University and worked as a still photographer before making his directorial debut with the short film China Lake (1983).
He is best known for the horror film The Hitcher (1986). His other feature credits include Eyes of an Angel (1991), Nowhere to Run (1993), They (2002) and Highwaymen (2004). On television he has directed episodes of Homicide: Life on the Street (1993) and Blue Bloods, as well as multiple Jesse Stone television films starring Tom Selleck, beginning with Stone Cold (2005).
Harmon received two Directors Guild of America Award nominations.
