Biography
Robert Kaplow is an American novelist, teacher and screenwriter. He wrote the screenplay for the 2025 film Blue Moon, directed by Richard Linklater and starring Ethan Hawke as Lorenz Hart.
Kaplow’s coming-of-age novel Me and Orson Welles (2003) was adapted into a 2008 film directed by Linklater. He has written nine books and taught English and film studies at Summit High School in Summit, New Jersey, retiring after 34 years. He graduated from Rutgers University and lives in Metuchen, New Jersey.
