Biography
Robert King is an American television and film writer, director and producer. He frequently collaborates with his wife Michelle King as writing and producing partners.
Before working in television, King wrote screenplays for feature films including Vertical Limit (2000), Cutthroat Island (1995) and Red Corner (1997). With Michelle King he created the legal drama series The Good Wife (2009–2016), on which he also served as writer, director and executive producer. The couple subsequently created its spin-offs The Good Fight (2017–2022) and Elsbeth (2024–present), as well as BrainDead (2016) and Evil (2019–2024). King is set to direct the premiere of their new series Cupertino (2026).
