Biography
Robert Lin is a Chinese-American actor, writer and filmmaker. He is known for his portrayal of Chairman Mao in Martin Scorsese’s Kundun (1997).
His other screen credits include the role of Lawrence’s Father in School of Rock (2003), an appearance in Red Corner (1997), and work on the television series Oz (1997). He has also acted in Green Card Fever (2003), Man of the Century (1999) and Front Cover (2015).
Lin holds a master’s degree in performing arts from New York University and is a member of SAG-AFTRA. He has written and starred in the play A Night with MAO and directed the short film To the North (2020).
