Biography
Robert MacNaughton is an American actor born on 19 December 1966 in New York City. He is best known for playing Michael, Elliott's older brother, in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982). For the role he received a Young Artist Award as Best Young Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture.
MacNaughton also starred as Adam Farmer in the 1983 film I Am the Cheese. He worked extensively in theatre, originating the role of Buddy Layman in The Diviners with the Circle Repertory Company and appearing in productions including Henry V at the New York Shakespeare Festival and Master Harold...and the Boys.
His television credits include episodes of Newhart and Amen, and the HBO film Vietnam War Story. He appeared in two further films in 2015: Laugh Killer Laugh and Frankenstein vs. The Mummy.
