Biography
Robert Presnell Jr. (1914–1986) was an American screenwriter. Born in Chicago, he was the son of screenwriter Robert Presnell Sr. He began his career as a reporter for the Milwaukee Journal before writing fiction and magazine articles. In the late 1930s he wrote, produced and directed radio programmes in New York, including I Love a Mystery and The Orson Welles Show.
From the early 1950s he focused on screen and television writing. His film credits include the screenplays for Man in the Attic (1953), A Life in the Balance (1955), Legend of the Lost (1957) and Let No Man Write My Epitaph (1960). On television he contributed episodes to series including The Twilight Zone (teleplay for 'The Chaser', 1960), McCloud, The Virginian and Rich Man, Poor Man, Book II. He was married to actress Marsha Hunt from 1946 until his death in Sherman Oaks, California.
