Biography
Robert Sallin is an American producer and director. He produced the 1982 film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, his only feature film credit as producer. The production was overseen with a significantly reduced budget compared to the previous film in the series.
Sallin graduated from UCLA's film school in 1953. He built a career in advertising, founding Kaleidoscope Productions and directing nearly 2,000 television commercials. Earlier credits include directing the 1969 feature The Picasso Summer and episodes of television series such as Riptide and The Mississippi. He later served as second unit director on the 1995 film Assassins.
