Biography
Robert Shafran is an American actor and one of three identical triplets whose story of separation at birth and later reunion is documented in the 2018 film Three Identical Strangers, in which he appears as himself.
Born on 12 July 1961 in Long Island, New York, Shafran and his brothers Eddy Galland and David Kellman were placed in separate adoptive homes shortly after birth as part of a secret study. They were reunited by chance in 1980 at age 19. Shafran has an uncredited cameo as a boy triplet in the 1985 film Desperately Seeking Susan.
He has also appeared as himself in the 2017 documentary The Twinning Reaction and on television programmes including The View.
