Biography
Robert Sidney Mellette is an American writer, director and author. He began in television as a writer's assistant on Xena: Warrior Princess (1995–1997) and created the online series 'The Xena Scrolls' for Universal New Media, which became the basis for a 1997 episode of the show—the first intellectual property to move from the internet to television.
Mellette wrote and directed the independent film Jacks or Better (2000), which won the Best Screenplay award at Dances With Films. He has also worked as script coordinator on Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000) and Blue Crush (2002). Writing as R.S. Mellette, he is the author of the middle-grade novels Billy Bobble Makes a Magic Wand and its sequel, and the young adult novel Kiya and the Morian Treasure.
