Biography
Robert Sparr was an American television and film director, editor and screenwriter. Born on 10 September 1915 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, he began his career as an editor in the 1950s before moving into directing in the early 1960s.
He directed episodes of numerous series, including Perry Mason, 77 Sunset Strip, The Wild Wild West, Batman and the Star Trek episode 'Shore Leave' (1966). His feature films as director include A Swingin' Summer (1965), which he also co-wrote, More Dead Than Alive (1968) and Once You Kiss a Stranger (1969).
Sparr was killed in a plane crash on 28 August 1969 in Colorado while scouting locations for the film Barquero.
