Biography
Robert Stevens (2 December 1920 – 7 August 1989) was an American television and film director and producer. He directed the pilot episode of The Twilight Zone (1959), 'Where Is Everybody?', as well as 'Walking Distance'.
Stevens was most active in the 1950s and 1960s on anthology series. He directed 44 episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955–1961) and several of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour (1962–1965), and produced and directed over 100 episodes of Suspense (1949–1952). He also directed episodes of Amazing Stories (1985) and the feature film Change of Mind (1969). He won a Primetime Emmy Award for his work on Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
