Biography
Robin de Jesús is an American actor born on 21 August 1984 in Norwalk, Connecticut. He began his career in the independent film Camp (2003) as Michael Flores and has appeared in television series including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Welcome to Chippendales (2022) as Ray Colon.
De Jesús is best known for his stage work, originating the role of Sonny in the 2008 Broadway musical In the Heights, for which he received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. He earned further nominations for his performances in the 2010 revival of La Cage aux Folles and the 2019 revival of The Boys in the Band as Emory, which he reprised in the 2020 film adaptation. He played Michael in the 2021 musical film tick, tick... BOOM!.
In 2025 he portrayed Tony in the Netflix miniseries Black Rabbit.
