Biography
Robin Majumdar is an Indian actor and musician who worked primarily in Bengali cinema. He appeared in supporting roles in films including Kavi (1949), Bhangagara (1954), Daner Maryada (1956) and Chupi Chupi Ashey (1960).
Majumdar contributed to the music department on several productions. He provided background music for Satyajit Ray’s Aparajito (1956) and performed as a musician on Ray’s The Music Room (1958). He also directed the 1959 film Hum Bhi Insaan Hain.
Later acting credits include The Kingdom of Diamonds (1980), in which he played Charandas.
