Biography

Rochelle Oliver (1937–2024) was an American actress and acting coach. She trained with Uta Hagen and made her Broadway debut in Toys in the Attic (1960), for which she received a Clarence Derwent Award. Her stage credits also include appearances in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and other productions.

On screen, Oliver appeared in films including Next Stop, Greenwich Village (1976) as Dr Marsha, Scent of a Woman (1992) as Gretchen, and Hollywood Ending (2002) as script supervisor. She had a recurring role as Judge Grace Larkin in Law & Order (1993–2003) and earlier television work in series such as The Defenders. From the 1970s she taught acting at HB Studio in New York City.
