Biography
Rod Parker was an American television writer and producer. Born on 25 July 1927 in Michigan, he began his career writing for The Jackie Gleason Show in the late 1960s before contributing scripts to All in the Family in 1972.
He served as a producer on Maude (1972–1978) and later held producing and script-supervision roles on series including Gimme a Break! (1981–1987) and Dear John (1988–1992). Parker also wrote episodes for several other sitcoms and created television movies. He died on 29 July 2011 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
