Biography

Rodger Boyce is an American character actor. He has appeared in more than a dozen feature films and numerous television productions, often in supporting roles as sheriffs, officials and other authority figures.

A native Texan and graduate of Texas Tech University, where he studied journalism and English, Boyce worked as a newspaper reporter and editor before entering acting. He began in theatre and has appeared in stage productions as well as made-for-television films. His screen credits include No Country for Old Men (2007) as the El Paso Sheriff, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) as a salesman, Where the Heart Is (2000) as Officer Harry, Bad Girls (1994) as the Agua Dulce bank manager and Necessary Roughness (1991) as Sheriff Woods.

Boyce has collaborated with Tommy Lee Jones on three films. He has also had recurring television work, including appearances in Walker, Texas Ranger and The Good Guys (2010) as Ex-Governor Davis.
