Biography
Rodney Harvey was an American actor and model. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was discovered by director Paul Morrissey in 1984 and appeared in Morrissey's films Mixed Blood (1985) and Spike of Bensonhurst (1988). He attended South Philadelphia High School but left in the eleventh grade to pursue acting, later moving to Los Angeles where he also worked as a model for photographers including Bruce Weber and brands such as Calvin Klein.
Harvey's screen credits include Five Corners (1987) as Castro, Salsa (1988) as Ken, the role of Sodapop Curtis in the television series The Outsiders (1990), Biker Scotty in the Twin Peaks pilot (1990), Gary in My Own Private Idaho (1991), and Tom in Guncrazy (1992). His final onscreen appearance was in God's Lonely Man (1996). He died in Los Angeles on 11 April 1998, aged 30, from a drug overdose.
