Biography
Roger Ernest Jenkins (May 1931 – 21 December 2022) was a British theatre and television director. He was educated at Bristol Grammar School and St Catharine's College, Cambridge, where he read English. After leaving university he trained as a producer at BBC Radio before joining Associated-Rediffusion in 1955 as a staff director.
Jenkins left Associated-Rediffusion in 1960 to work freelance. His television credits include episodes of The Avengers (1961), Z-Cars, Coronation Street, Poldark (1977), Secret Army (1978) and Howards' Way. He also directed numerous stage productions and, through his company Hyperion Films, produced documentaries and instructional videos.
