Biography
Roger Milner (also credited as Roger Millner) was a British actor, author and dramatist. Born in Hexham, Northumberland, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the Old Vic theatre school. He served in the British Army during the Second World War.
His writing credits include the screenplay for the film The Queen's Guards (1961) and the comedy play How's the World Treating You? (1965), which transferred to the West End and Broadway. As an actor he appeared in numerous television productions, including the antique shop owner in A Warning to the Curious (1972), the clergyman in Lost Hearts (1973), Wilcox in Brideshead Revisited (1981), Anicca in the Doctor Who serial 'Kinda' (1982), and Pratt in Middlemarch (1994).
Milner died in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, in 2014. He was married to the actress Carol Snape.
