Biography

Roger Neill is an American composer, arranger, orchestrator and conductor. He was born on 26 December 1963 in San Diego, California. He studied composition and flute at the University of Southern California and earned a PhD in music composition from Harvard University.

Neill is best known for his film scores for Beginners (2011, with Brian Reitzell and Dave Palmer), 20th Century Women (2016) and Don't Think Twice (2016). His television credits include Mozart in the Jungle (2014–2018) and King of the Hill. He has also composed for video games, advertisements and radio programmes, and serves as associate professor of music scoring for visual media at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
