Biography
Roman Luknár is a Slovak actor born on 1 June 1965 in Bratislava. He trained at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and began his career in theatre, appearing with companies including Divadlo pre deti a mládež in Trnava and Divadlo Astorka Korzo ’90.
He has appeared in more than fifty films since the late 1980s. Luknár is known for his role as Jacob in The Garden (1995), for which he received a Czech Lion nomination, Stefan in Soul at Peace (2009), which earned him a Sun in a Net Award for Best Supporting Actor, and Anton in A Good Day to Die Hard (2013). He has also worked extensively in television and in Spanish productions.
