Biography

Roman Sergeevich Madyanov (Russian: Роман Сергеевич Мадянов) was a Soviet and Russian actor. He was born on 22 July 1962 in Dedovsk, Moscow Oblast, and died on 25 September 2024.

Madyanov began his career as a child actor, appearing as Huckleberry Finn in Hopelessly Lost (1973). He graduated from the Russian Institute of Theater Arts (GITIS) in 1984 and was a long-serving member of the Mayakovsky Theatre company in Moscow. He received the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation in 1995.

He appeared in more than 140 films and television productions. Madyanov is known for roles including juror #12 in 12 (2007), the mayor Vadim Shelevyat in Leviathan (2014), and parts in Legend No. 17 (2013) and High Security Vacation (2009). He won multiple Nika and Golden Eagle awards for supporting and leading roles.
