Biography
Rome Neal is an American actor and theatre director. His film credits include the Prisoner in Malcolm X (1992), the Garage Mechanic in Nadja (1994), Bed Stuy Man Interviewed in Summer of Sam (1999), Barnardo in Hamlet (2000) and Jake in Piñero (2001). He has also appeared in television series including She's Gotta Have It (2017–2019) and Terror Lake Drive (2023).
Neal has a long-standing association with the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in New York, where he has served as Artistic Theatre Director and chairman of the board. He received an Obie Grant with founder Miguel Algarín for excellence in theatre, along with multiple Audelco Awards for directing and acting.
