Biography
Ronald Radd (22 January 1929 – 23 April 1976) was a British actor. Born in Ryhope, Sunderland, County Durham, England, he began his career on the stage in the early 1950s at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham and later worked in the West End.
Radd appeared in approximately 60 television productions between 1955 and 1976. He originated the role of Hunter in the series Callan and played Rook in the 1967 episode 'Checkmate' of The Prisoner. Other credits include appearances in The Avengers, The Saint, The Offence (1973) and The Kremlin Letter (1970). In 1971 he received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play for Abelard and Heloise on Broadway.
