Biography
Roque Baños is a Spanish composer of film scores. Born in Jumilla, Murcia, he studied at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid and graduated summa cum laude from Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1995, specialising in film scoring and jazz.
He began scoring feature films in the late 1990s and has worked on both Spanish and English-language productions. His credits include Sexy Beast (2000), The Machinist (2004), Cell 211 (2009), Evil Dead (2013), In the Heart of the Sea (2015) and Don't Breathe (2016). Baños has won the Goya Award for Best Original Score twice, in 2008 and 2009.
