Biography
Rosa María Bianchi is an Argentine-born Mexican actress. She was born on 18 February 1948 in Buenos Aires and moved to Mexico at a young age, later becoming a naturalised Mexican citizen.
She trained at the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, the University Theater Center (CUT) and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Bianchi began her screen career in the 1980s and has worked extensively in film, television and theatre. Her film roles include Tía Luisa in Amores Perros (2000) and Carmen in Nicotina (2003), for which she received the Ariel Award for Best Actress in 2004. Other notable credits include Den of Wolves (1986), Killer Women (2008) and Monarca (2019).
She was married to theatre director Luis de Tavira; their sons include actor José María de Tavira.
