Biography
Rosemary Burrows is a British costume supervisor and designer. She studied pottery at Berkshire College of Art before starting her career in 1958 at Hammer Film Productions' Bray Studios as an assistant to wardrobe mistress Molly Arbuthnot. She later became wardrobe mistress and supervisor on many Hammer Horror films and worked on James Bond productions including The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).
Burrows has over 100 film credits from 1958 to 2005. She collaborated repeatedly with costume designer Anthony Powell on six films, receiving co-designer credit on 101 Dalmatians (1996) and 102 Dalmatians (2000); the pair were nominated for awards for the former. She served as costume supervisor on Gladiator (2000) and held roles including assistant costume designer on Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) and supervisor on V for Vendetta (2006) and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005). She was married to actor and stuntman Eddie Powell.
