Biography

Rossella Drudi was an Italian screenwriter and writer, also credited under the pseudonym Sarah Asproon. She began writing horror comics at the age of twelve and later worked in film editing, dubbing and as an assistant director before turning to screenwriting in the 1980s. She frequently collaborated with her husband, director Claudio Fragasso, on numerous Italian genre films.

Drudi contributed screenplays or stories to films including Zombie Flesh Eaters 2 (1988), Rats: Night of Terror (1984), Robowar (1988), Shocking Dark (1989), After Death (1990) and Troll 2 (1990), the last of which she co-wrote with Fragasso. She also wrote for crime dramas such as Palermo – Milan One Way (1996) and Milan – Palermo: The Return (2007). She died in Rome on 19 February 2025.
