Biography
Rossella Falk (born Rosa Antonia Falzacappa) was an Italian actress. Born in Rome on 10 November 1926, she graduated from the Accademia d'Arte Drammatica in 1948. She established a career in theatre, collaborating with Luchino Visconti from 1951 and co-founding the stage company La compagnia dei giovani in 1954 with Giorgio De Lullo, Anna Maria Guarnieri, Romolo Valli and Umberto Orsini. She later worked with directors including Franco Zeffirelli and Gabriele Lavia, and continued stage work until 2009.
Falk appeared in films from the late 1940s, with roles including Rossella in Federico Fellini's 8½ (1963), Mrs Fothergill in Modesty Blaise (1966), and Elena Marchi in Seven Blood-Stained Orchids (1972). She was also credited in The Black Belly of the Tarantula (1971), The Fifth Cord (1971) and Sleepless (2001). She died in Rome on 5 May 2013.
