Biography
Rowan Joffé is a British screenwriter and director. He is the son of director Roland Joffé and actress Jane Lapotaire, and half-brother of actress Nathalie Lunghi.
Joffé began writing plays while at the University of Oxford and received a Cameron Mackintosh bursary. His early screenwriting credits include Last Resort (2000) and the television drama Gas Attack, both of which won the Best New British Feature Award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. He co-wrote the screenplay for 28 Weeks Later (2007).
Joffé wrote the screenplay for The American (2010) and adapted and directed Brighton Rock (2010). He directed and co-wrote Before I Go to Sleep (2014). He created and wrote the television series Tin Star (2017).
