Biography
Roy Vongtama is an American actor and board-certified radiation oncologist. Born in Buffalo, New York, he is of Thai heritage. He began acting at the Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia while completing his medical training.
Vongtama graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine, followed by a residency in radiation oncology at UCLA in 2005. He has appeared in television series including Dollhouse (2009) as Attendant #4, 24 (2009) as Sato, The Shield, and Scandal, as well as the feature film The Bucket List (2007). He has also worked in theatre and as a producer and director.
