Biography
Runyararo Mapfumo is a British television and film director, writer and producer of Zimbabwean heritage. She graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2013 with a first-class honours degree in film and visual effects.
She is known for directing the second block of episodes (4, 6, 7 and 8) of the third series of the Netflix series Sex Education (2021) and for directing three episodes of the Netflix series KAOS (2024). Mapfumo has also directed a number of short films, including several funded by the BFI, BBC and Google Arts, and has received a BAFTA nomination for Emerging Talent: Fiction (2022).
