Biography
Rupinder Gill is a Canadian writer and television producer. She previously worked as a publicist for Alliance Atlantis and BBC Canada. Her memoir On the Outside Looking Indian was published in 2011 and was shortlisted for the Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour.
Gill has written for Canadian comedy programmes including This Hour Has 22 Minutes. She wrote six episodes of Schitt's Creek (2018–2019) and served as co-producer and later co-executive producer on the series. She has also written and produced for The Sex Lives of College Girls, Ghosts, Rutherford Falls and other series. Gill received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series as co-executive producer on Schitt's Creek.
