Biography
Ruth Bennett is a television writer and producer. She wrote the episode "Louie Sees the Light" for the series Taxi in 1979 and contributed 26 episodes to Family Ties (1982–1989).
Bennett created the sitcoms Sara (1985) and Duet (1987–1989). She also wrote episodes of Laverne & Shirley, The Facts of Life, Home Improvement, Something Wilder, Someone Like Me and Sabrina the Teenage Witch (four episodes, 2000–2002). As a producer she served as consulting producer on Sabrina the Teenage Witch and executive producer on The Lionhearts.
She has received three Primetime Emmy nominations.
