Biography
Ryan McPartlin is an American actor. Born on 3 July 1975 in Chicago, Illinois, he graduated with a degree in speech communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, where he played football as a walk-on tight end. He began his career with modelling before making his first on-screen appearance in an episode of The Nanny in 1999. Subsequent early roles included Passions and Living with Fran (2005–2006).
McPartlin is best known for his portrayal of Devon "Captain Awesome" Woodcomb on the series Chuck (2007–2012). Other credits include J. Edgar (2011), Hunter Killer (2018), L.A.'s Finest (2019–2020) and guest appearances in Mad Men (2008) and Community (2009).
