Biography
Ryan Paynter is an American actor, director and writer. He has appeared in guest roles on several television series, including as the Teen in the 2021 miniseries Dopesick, the Dying Teen in Stranger Things (2022 episode), and Patrick Cole in Vice Principals (2016).
Paynter's other credits include recurring roles in Me (2024) as Aleister Morris and Murdaugh: Death in the Family (2025) as Anthony Cook, as well as film appearances such as Young Ray in The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat (2024) and Ivan Brewer in I Win (2024). He wrote, directed and starred in the short film A Dose of You (2024), which won the People's Choice Award at the Fuquay Film Festival. He discovered an interest in performing through a community play while in elementary school.
