Biography
Ryan Pope is an English actor born in Manchester in 1973. He is best known for playing Psycho Paul in all seven series of the BBC Three sitcom Ideal (2005–2011).
After graduating from Dartington College of Arts, he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company and performed in productions in North America and the Far East. His first professional role after acting school was promoting the Quadrophenia comeback tour for The Who, dressing as a mod and riding a Lambretta. He also worked as a catwalk model for Prada.
Pope has appeared in films including Velvet Goldmine (1998), Looking for Eric (2009), A Field in England (2013) and Peterloo (2018). His television credits include roles in The Lakes, Shameless (2004), Skins (2007), Motherland (2017) and Andor (2022).
