Biography

Ryōsuke Kagawa was a Japanese actor. He was born on 10 October 1896 in Saga Prefecture and died on 17 April 1987.

Kagawa appeared in more than 400 films between 1928 and 1986. He is known for roles in Ugetsu (1953) as the Village Master, Sansho the Bailiff (1954) as Ritsushi Kumotake, Gate of Hell (1953) as Yasutada, The Sword of Doom (1966) as Dansho Tsukue, 13 Assassins (1963), Zatoichi's Flashing Sword (1964) as Boss Bunkichi, Kill! (1968) as Sachu Mizoguchi and The Funeral (1984) as the Old People's Club Chairman. His final film role was in Dixieland Daimyō (1986).

His son was the child actor Sō Shuntarō.
