Biography
Ryudo Uzaki (born Shūji Kimura, also credited as Ryūdō Uzaki) is a Japanese musician, composer and actor. Born on 23 February 1946 in Kyoto, he formed the Down Town Boogie-Woogie Band, one of the prominent Japanese rock bands of the 1970s. He has composed numerous songs, often in collaboration with lyricist Yoko Aki, to whom he is married.
Uzaki has appeared in several films as an actor. He voiced Grand Counselor Otomo in the 2013 Studio Ghibli animated feature The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. Other credits include SDF Admiral Taizō Tachibana in Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (2001) and Keisuke Makimura in Devilman (2004).
