Biography
S.K. Lauren was an American screenwriter active in Hollywood from the early 1930s to the 1950s. Born Samuel K. Lauren on 1 February 1893 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he began his career writing for the stage before moving into film.
He received screen credits on numerous productions, including Blonde Venus (1932), One Night of Love (1934), Crime and Punishment (1935) and A Damsel in Distress (1937). Additional work encompassed adaptations and contributions to films such as When Ladies Meet (1941), Ruthless (1948) and My Blue Heaven (1950). Lauren also wrote Broadway plays including Those We Love (1930) and Men Must Fight (1932). He died on 4 December 1979 in Los Angeles, California.
