Biography
Sabaah Folayan is an American filmmaker, director and writer. She is also credited as Sabaah Jordan. She studied at Marlborough School and graduated from Columbia University with a BA in biology in 2013.
Folayan made her directorial debut with the documentary Whose Streets? (2017), which she also wrote and produced; it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and covered the 2014 Ferguson protests. She directed the documentaries Look at Me: XXXTentacion (2022) and Ratified (2024). Her writing credits include the HBO comedy series Betty (2020).
