Biography
Salimata Kamate is an Ivorian actress. She was born on 1 January 1964 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
She appeared in African productions before making her European film debut in 2011 as Fatou in The Intouchables. She is known for playing Madeleine Koffi in the Serial (Bad) Weddings films (2014, 2019 and 2021) and for roles in Saint Omer (2022) as Odile Diata, Striking the Palace (2024) as Violette, and the television series Represent (2023–2024) as Simone.
